We specialize in medication-assisted treatment, providing our patients with safe, proven pharmacological aids to reduce withdrawl symptoms and control cravings.
We also provide psychosocial treatment including counseling, recovery coaching, peer group facilitation and more.
Dr. Anne Pylkas is the Medical Director at Sage Prairie. She is a board certified internal medicine and addiction medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, completing her residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. She is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. She served as the medical director for overdose prevention at the Steve Rummler Hope Network and is currently the Chair of the Minnesota Opioid Epidemic Response Advisory Committee. Dr. Pylkas has been in the field of Addiction Medicine for over ten years. She mentors many and is a leader in changing the way substance use disorders are treated in Minnesota.
Claire is an Adult- Gerontologic Nurse Practitioner. She has been working at Sage Prairie since December 2020. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from the University of St. Thomas.
She moved on to obtain her Masters of Science in Nursing from Marquette University, and later her Post Masters Certificate as a primary care nurse practitioner. She is currently completing a Doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota. She has worked in healthcare for over 7 years in various settings including addiction medicine, primary care, cardiothoracic surgery, long-term care, as well as palliative and hospice care. She provides addiction medicine and primary care services to adults 18 years and older.
Dr. Emily Brunner went to MIT for undergraduate to study Neuroscience, and then University of Michigan to complete her M.D. and family practice residency. She is board-certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine, and previous practice includes working at Hazelden Betty Ford as well as St Joseph's hospital and a pain and addiction medicine clinic in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Brunner will be starting the first video gaming disorder treatment program in Minnesota in addition to practicing full-spectrum outpatient addiction medicine. She is very passionate about helping people, and will see patients as young as 12 as well as OB patients.
Sara is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Nursing at Hibbing Community College before moving on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at The College of St. Scholastica. She has worked in the healthcare field for over 10 years in various settings. She provides psychiatric consultation and medication management services to those suffering from a wide range of mental health concerns including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders.
